American action film legend, Arnold Schwarzenegger was on Saturday, May 18, attacked by a man in South Africa while attending the annual Arnold Classic Africa in Johannesburg.
The former governor of South Africa while attending the sporting event in Sandton Convenient Centre in Johannesburg was suddenly drop-kicked in the back by a man.
In a video which has since gone viral on social media, Schwarzenegger is seen taking pictures with his fans and judging a skipping competition when a man jumped and kicked him. The actor then stumbles into a crowd of on-lookers while the attacker was quickly detained by a member of Schwarzenegger’s security.
The 71-year-old took to Twitter after the incident to assure his fans he was doing just fine.
“Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about,” he wrote.
“I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot. I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat,” he wrote.
