80+ Nigerians arrested in Malaysia for fraud and cultism

Following complaints that most of the Nigerians and Africans residing in Kajang ( town in Southeastern Selanngor, Malaysia), were involved in crimes such as occultism and internet fraud, several raids were carried out by the Malaysian Immigration Department last night in Kajang and Puchong, resulting to the arrest of over 80 Nigerians.

According to Malaysian Imigration director-general, Datuk Khairul Dzaimee Daud,several officers were injured durig the opoeration after wrestling with illegal immigrants who refused to cooperate.

Dzaimee also said 118 foreigners were arrested at the first raid including 78 Nigerians. Forty illegal immigrants from Sierra Leone (23), Nepal (eight), Tanzania (one), Guinea (three) and Kenya (one), Myanmar (two) and Nigeria (two) were arrested in another raid in Puchong.
